Sometimes, you walk into a home and think, "Take it all out. I need a clean slate." Other times, the Seller has good taste, and you are able to work with a lot of their art. This was one of those situations. The walls were large, and the Seller had some beautiful large-format art that fit the spaces well. The issue there was I had to make sure what I added in terms of art seamlessly blended with theirs. Luckily, I own quite a few vintage liquor ads and recently purchased a few lovely vintage Vogue prints that complement the house's existing artwork. Working with the opinionated blue walls in the living room and second bedroom was more challenging. The solution was to keep a tight, neutral, and fall-inspired color scheme, and we created a lovely home filled with subdued colors that worked with rather than against the existing palette.
