I avoid putting beds on window walls if possible. Sometimes, however, it just makes sense. In this house, however, there was a bump out on the long wall, which made putting the bed there hard. If I put a bed on a window wall, I usually forego a headboard. That way, the headboard doesn't block the light or views. However, this is a garden-level unit, so the bottom half of the window faced a window well. So, the headboard wasn't blocking anything and did not prohibit the light from pouring into the room. As always, I put many rules on myself, but as I say a lot, even the rules I make up are meant to be broken. Overall, this cute gem of a condo is a triumph, and I love how it turned out.
